Hello my lovelies. I hope you’re all enjoying the weekend. I know it’s hard to distinguish between weekend and work week days for some of us. When this lockdown eases, we’re going to carry on being muddled up for a while.

So, most of you know that I am carrying my self-imposed messing around with art supplies challenge for an extra week or so longer than I had originally planned. Well, here is my effort for day 32 …..

All roads

A bit of stencilling, and out of date road map, some water colour pencils, a white gel pen for doodling and a tiny photo of a road sign that sits right outside my house. Crawford Park is a very familiar name to me.

For those who are still in doubt about what day it is …. It’s Saturday. In fact, I am writing this early Saturday morning. The sun is shining but for how long? This morning I’m going to prep a piece of calico in readiness for messing around with art supplies on fabric. Oooooooh. What kind of mess will I end up with????? Well you’ll just have to wait and see. I’m just going to make up a picture using my tried and tested little wonky house and trees. Simple is best to start with. Who knows what I’ll learn along the way? This lockdown has turned my world upside in ways I never imagined. It’s almost as if I’m re-inventing myself. Yahoo!!!

I usually don’t post on Saturday but today I felt compelled to write a little something. The timer just dinged, it’s time to pull the cinnamon swirls out of the oven. Yum. So, my friends, I guess that my report for today. I shall return tomorrow or Monday with a little progress report on my messing around on fabric. In the meantime, I hope you all have a super cosy weekend doing things you enjoy doing. Until next time,

Let’s all keep on messing around with whatever supplies we have in our stash.

  1. I’m also struggling with what day it is & not going for walk because the weather is just so foul is making me a bit tetchy. Hopefully the sun will come out this week & brighten our world a little. I did think when I read “all roads lead to..”, the answer might be –nowhere, at the moment–, considering our lockdowns. Look forward to seeing how the fabric turns out. Take car, stay safe & hugs.

    1. Hi Susan, you’re right. Most roads don’t lead very far at the moment but it won’t be forever. I’m trying to be patient. Keeping busy helps. Thanks for popping in x
