FEELING FESTIVE IN MAY

Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all enjoyed a happy sunny Monday. It’s been lovely here in my little corner of the northeast of England. I love sunny Mondays.

I spent the last few days planning and working on some Christmas projects. Once I found my direction I just followed thru and it grew and grew. Here’s a little sneaky peek …..

Does is say Christmas to you? Those brighter than usual reds and greens are definitely doing it for me. With all this concentrating on Christmas I completely forgot to take a photo of my finished Moving Forward quilt once it was taken off my quilting system frame. I guess you’ll have to wait until next time to see my latest finish.

I purchased a few annuals for my garden last week but I was afraid to plant them out for fear we might have a frost which would kill the new plants off. The weatherman kept telling us that the temps would drop so low that frost was a very real threat. Well yesterday I decided I was ready to take a chance. So, here’s a little look at my newly planted annuals …..

I just planted some trailing Lobelia, Geraniums, Petunias, Fuchsias etc in a couple of planters. The plants were only planted yesterday and already they’re starting to grow. I look forward to a little explosion of colour over the summer.

Did you all enjoy watching the Royal Wedding on Saturday. I was at a sewing session and we had three different devices running on which to watch the event. I won’t bore you more than needed but I have to say that I think it was a lovely ceremony and the atmosphere was wonderful. After watching an hour of so of the event I felt like I was there.

So, it’s been a rather interesting weekend at happy stitcher manor. I stepped out to do a little sewing as a group and watched the Royal Wedding with said group. And I worked on Christmas. Who on earth works on Christmas in May????

I guess that’s my report for today. I hope you all have a super cosy evening doing something you truly enjoy doing. Until next time,

Let’s all keep on stitching.
