Hello my lovelies. I hope you’re all having a super-duper day. Along with a few household chores and catching up on communications, I set aside a couple hours to get started on my newest project inspired by six art journal pages I created during lockdown. I’m an early riser, so I was drawing the blocks by 6am. Once the morning chores were done, I dragged out my two scraps bins to choose some fabric scraps to get the job started. Here’s the progress I made so far …..

Row Quilt

It doesn’t seem like much for the moment but I take my time prepping my patches. As you can already tell it’s another of my hand appliqué projects. This is my preferred method. I love every bit of the prep work; even choosing the fabric. The next task is to choose background fabric. I have a certain fabric collection from my stash in mind but I need to audition it against the patches I’m currently prepping. I hope to bring you more progress soon.

Well, my lovely friends, that’s my news for today. I hope you all have a super cosy evening doing something you love doing. Until next time,

Let’s all keep on stitching.

Lucie x

    1. Hi Mary, just using up scraps. It’s keeping my mind focused. Using scraps is much more time consuming but far more rewarding than choosing new fabric off the shelf. My scrap baskets don’t seem to be reducing very much though. Thanks for popping in today x

    1. Hi Susan, this project is progressing nicely. It’s nothing complicated but I’m having fun. We all need a little fun in our lives now and again. Thanks for popping in today Susan. Stay alert to stay well xx

    1. Hi Ginny, well my new project is progressing nicely. I’m busy busy prepping the applique patches to eventually secure to the background and really enjoying the process. It seems my scrap baskets are still quite full. Thanks for popping in today x
