DAY 20 MESSING AROUND CHALLENGE

Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a fabulous day. And I hope that if you set yourself any challenges that you’re winning!!!

I know I’ve said it again and again but hasn’t life changed in a few short weeks. Quite a few of us have been in lockdown for a month or better. Lockdown, staying home, is the only thing I am able to contribute to the war against the invisible enemy. I learned last evening that I have a couple friends who are working in hospitals and have been exposed to this invisible enemy. I wish my friends and anyone who is infected a very speedy recovery. And for everyone else, please respect social distancing recommendations.

So, it’s day 20 of my self-imposed messing around with art supplies challenge. Here’s today’s effort …..

Day 20

In my quest to meet my challenge without purchasing any supplies, I headed up to the loft this morning in search of a small chest of papers I knew or thought I might still have stored up there. I found the chest and these are the few papers I selected this time.

Paper Selection

They’re mainly sheets of wrapping paper that I bought from Paperchase for crafting purposes years ago. The patterns may be a little large for my small art journal but I have plenty of larger ones which I could start once this one is finished. Or even start now just because I want to. Sarah keeps bringing me things from a stash we stored in her workspace over the last few years. Between us we have plenty to keep us going for a while. The recycling holds a few treasures as well. Anyone can try this art journaling craft. It’s a great way to express yourself especially when the new normal is forcing itself on us.

And speaking of the new normal, Sarah came down the stairs to see me rocking in my chair while composing this post. What she didn’t realise is that I was watching The Nest which I had recorded last week and there was a scene with funky dance music to which I was “dancing” to not rocking. No, I was not having a breakdown in my chair! We keep busy in whatever way we can.

Maisie somehow injured herself this morning. We found her limping around the hallway. So instead of taking her for a walk this morning we let her rest her leg. She seems better now but we’ll keep her quiet for today and see how things unfurl tomorrow.

So, my friends, I guess that’s my report for today. I hope you all have a super cosy evening doing something you enjoy. Until next time,

Let’s all keep on stitching and messing around with art supplies.

    1. Hi Heather, you my friend are soooo very welcome. People like me shou.d be thanking you and your hubby for working for the NHS especially during this difficult time. While you have 5 minutes today plan your next project for your day off. Let me know what you work on when that day off arrives. I shall keep on blogging and hope that I will inspire someone anyone to have a go at crafting of any sort. Take care Heather and thank you for popping in today xx
