Hello my lovelies. I hope you’re all enjoying the last day of the work week. All the days seem to blend together at the moment. And it’s a struggle to work out what day it is at the best of times nowadays.

Today is day 17 of my self-imposed messing around with art supplies. I have had quite a lot of fun trying out different supplies and techniques and there’s a lot more supplies in our stash to try out yet. So, I may just be able to see the challenge through.

So, without further ado here is today’s effort …..

Day 17

You will notice that I used up the rest of the scrap of paper I cut the partridges from yesterday. A little simple bit of weaving adds a little something to the funky background. I keep all my art journal pages simple and achievable. In time, if I decide to take up this type of craft regularly, I may attempt more complicated techniques for which I will most certainly need to actually purchase a few more supplies. It’s not like I need an excuse though.

Art Journal

Finally, the sun has come out to play. This morning was dark and dreary. Sarah and I stepped out this morning to collect our Click & Collect food order. It was rather exciting to actually head out in the car. The car spends a lot of time in the driveway nowadays. Collecting our food at the supermarket was absolute pandemonium but we got plenty of food to keep us going now for a while. Even Maisie’s food bucket is stocked up again.

And speaking of Maisie … she’s desperately in need of a haircut but her regular grooming place is shut due to circumstances beyond our control. However, my neighbour has a dog groomer who comes to his house and by using the garage as a work space is able to keep to social distancing rules and so Maisie will be clipped, short back and sides style, tomorrow. She looks like a hairy beast at the moment. I am positive she will feel like a new girly dog when her fur has been trimmed and coifed.

So, my friends, I guess that’s my report for today. I hope you all have a super cosy evening doing something you truly love doing. I am planning on having a little break from posting tomorrow but you shall be able to read my ramblings on Sunday. Until next time,

Let’s all keep on stitching and messing around with art supplies.

Lucie x

  1. Hi Lucie, I am still reading, but am having trouble with my old laptop again & have issues with commenting on my tablet, so here I am at the PC leaving a short message. I’m loving your pages, but still haven’t done one, but am getting on with some sewing, tidying the garden when the weather permits. We hope to “try” and go for a walk this afternoon, but the weather has been quite foul over the weekend. I made a coffee streusel slice & some pretty flower biscuits this morning. That will see us through the next 10 days or so. No going out, means no treat of coffee & cake somewhere nice, which is our little treat once a week. BTW< did you get my email? Take care, stay safe & hugs from Oz.

    1. Hi Susan, I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems with technology. It can be very frustrating especially during these strange trying times. Your coffee streusel slice sounds absolutely yummy. Enjoy every morsel. I too miss going out once in a while for a treat. We will appreciate getting out and about again when restrictions are lifted, we just have to be patient. And I did receive your email and sent a reply. Stay home and be well x
