Hello my lovelies. I hope you’ve all had a super day. I’ve been a bit busy in my sewing room today. It’s going to be a short report because I need to go back to the project I have been working on all day but first here’s a little peek at what I’ve been playing with …..

I spent a few hours drawing whimsical blocks over the weekend and now I’m going to spend a few hours bringing my drawings to life. Isn’t is amazing what you can do with a few scraps of fabric.

Do you love shoes? I love shoes but I find it difficult to find shoes that don’t hurt my feet. While I worked in my sewing room today I wore these …..

They still hurt my feet so I don’t wear them very often. I reckon, if I wear them in the house I might be able to break them in a little better and knowing that I can take them off makes me feel better about wearing them!!! I do love the whimsical look of these shoes.

So, I guess that’s my report for today. I’m going to head back into my sewing room and get on with being creative. I hope you all have a super cosy evening doing something that makes you happy. Until next time,

Let’s all keep on stitching.

Lucie x

  1. Hey ho there, Just opened your messages and saw a happy happy block, wonder where this one is going????
THEN!!! The SHOES!!! ALSO THE JEANS!!!! Flower power….Spring has certainly sprung…boing boing boing….This make is a bit tough to break in, I have heard. But…I love them.
Have a good day, Lucie. Hugs Maisie….
    Joanna xx

    1. Hi Joanna, the whole project is happy!!! As for my Docs, I’m going to keep wearing them in my sewing room until they’re broken in because I like them. Thanks for popping in today x

      1. Well, good luck. Maybe insoles might help.

Just saw the Ark float by….sigh. 4o days and 4o nights, certainly hope not.
More ducks going down the street…..eh.
        Ha ha ha

      2. Hi Joanna, I hope your weather has dried up a little bit today. We’ve had a some sunshine two days in a row now. It’s now really warm but it’s bright x

    1. Thank you Sandra. This new Whimsy. This new project is coming along nicely. And I’m quite excited about it. My Docs still hurt my feet but I’m going to persevere. Thanks for popping in x

  2. The block is gorgeous & you are really on a roll with whimsical blocks……. as well as shoes. I nearly always wear runners/trainers/sneakers in winter, as I’ve bunions on both feet & most shoes nip them. Can’t wait to see all the blocks come together. Take care & have a great week.

    1. Hi Susan, I made some significant progress on my new whimsy blocks today. I’m really excited about this new project. It’s quite different from my other whimsies. Thanks for popping in x

Stuff your shoes with wet newspaper and leave to dry. Takes a while but it’s well worth it. Have been doing this for years and it works (for me anyway) all the time. Love all your projects and only wish I had your foresight. Love from Linda Hodges.

  4. Sheila.

    Hi Lucie,
Even though I’m not a Christmas person by any stretch of the imagination
I really like your tree block.
Love the docs. Get yourself a pair of Brooks runners.
Here in my part of the universe we’ve had a week without rain a MIRACLE.
Usually getting 2 or 3 in a row dry is considered a good summer. (LOL)
    Is Sarah finished her exams?

    1. Hi Sheila, I hope you have a super summer. It’s been lovely from first thing here today. I even spent a few minutes tidying the garden this morning. Sarah has just completed her third and final year of uni. Her grades are due to be revealed tomorrow. I hope to get her permission to post some of her work soon. Thanks for popping in today x

  5. Sheila.

    Just correcting myself.
My first comment should have read 2 or 3 dry days in a row.
Looking forward to seeing some of Sarah’s work.
Bet she did very well in her exams.
Cannot believe it’s her final year.
Wishing Sarah and you all the best that life has to offer.

    1. Thank you Sheila. Sarah received her grades this aft and she did very well, graduating with honours!!! And you can see her degree show display in today’s post. Thanks for your encouragement x
